Ready For Snow, Not The Cold

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we’ve no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

Climate definitely controls my moods. Warm and sunny brings out my cheery disposition while the cold will turn me into She-Hulk. Those years that we have more cold dry months than winter snow…is when it is the worst! IT’S cold and there isn’t anything to do.

There is always a silver lining to the dreary weather that sours my mood. When it turns cold, that means snow is soon on the way! Snowmen, hot chocolate, snow angels, skiing, snowball fights, and Christmas, to say a few exciting examples. Those events are why cold weather could be tolerable.

When I think about the cold weather and how much I dislike the cold, lyrics instantly pop into my head. Christmas elevator music to accompany my thoughts.

Frank Sinatra helps me get through my dislike of the impending months of freezing torture. My positive thinking about snow can comfort me until I feel my nose hairs freeze the moment I step a foot outside.

Christmas carols are everywhere and I’m sure I have heard this song a thousand times in the last 3 days…but it is still the song I sing to cheer me up when my mood drops with the temperature.

Let It Snow

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we’ve no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

It doesn’t show signs of stopping,
And I’ve bought some corn for popping,
The lights are turned way down low,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

When we finally kiss goodnight,
How I’ll hate going out in the storm!
But if you’ll really hold me tight,
All the way home I’ll be warm.

The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we’re still good-bying,
But as long as you love me so,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

      1. I just sit around in my suit during the sessions and take a dip in the pool during breaks. Seems to work to just be in a state of perpetual evaporation! Ha. I’m at a writing retreat with 5 friends.
