Interesting View To Teach About Día de los Muertos

I do not have any ancestors that are from Mexico (that I know of). However, I have always been fascinated by the celebration of Día de los Muertos. Translated into English, it means The Day of the Dead.

It is a common mistake to think that this day is a Mexican Halloween or just to celebrate death. Even though it is close to Halloween and has skulls and skeletons associated with it, it is far from it. The day is to honor loved ones who have moved on to their next phase of their lives. Dying is as much a part of life as a person being born.

This short video was produced for awareness about Día de los Muertos. It is very touching and is a stepping stone to create an interest to learn more about their culture.
